last night (with my kitty Pig Pen following close behind me :D) i went out and took photos of the moon. i took a photo every 30 seconds and after combining the photos this is what i came up with:

the next photo is the ones taken 1 minute apart
and the last one is the ones taken 1:30 apart
let me know what you think :D

Rattle Snake

while grandpa and grandma steward were visiting we went to this place called boyce thompson arboretum. we were hiking around and when i heard a noise i turned to ask grandma what it was when they started saying come over here and see this. this snake was what we found. i was really surprised at how long i stood there to get this picture after i got it i was really jumpy and ended up jumping when a leaf fell behind me....
i submitted this photo to a contest arizona highways was having but it will be a while before i hear anything. hopefully it will be good news :D

Double Rainbow

During the Trip to New Mexico (when i took the stars photo) we had some storms roll through. right after one of these storms we happen to notice there was a double rainbow, unfortunately i didn't grab my camera until they were starting to fade.

Lightning

a couple of nights ago we had a storm roll through here it rained for only a little while but the lightning kept going all around us. so once the rain stopped i ran back inside for my camera but i forgot my car keys which meant i couldn't get my tripod from the car so instead i stood on top of the slide trying to hold the camera as still as possible. sadly i got one photo that i could use out of the hundreds i took BUT i am happy with what the result was. next time i will remember my tripod so i can get even more and less shaky photos :D

this one was taken during a day trip to San Diego. we got up early and drove 6hrs, spent the day exploring the coast, taking photos, sitting on the beach, and playing in the waves then drove 6hrs to get back at 3am. while we were there apparently there was an earthquake north of us but the only thing we noticed was that the waves got bigger. even though it was cloudy all day we had an amazing day on the beach. hopefully i will have a few more photos from this trip to but up soon.

stars

This was my first attempt at taking a star photo, it was taken during a trip to New Mexico. We were up in the mountains in the middle of nowhere working on a cabin. There was no electricity which meant it was pitch black outside at night, I decided this would be the best time to try to do this and I was pretty pleased with the results but I am still working on it.
So I've decided to try and start getting a few of my latest photos up here so I can feed back from you guys. Let me know what you think of the photos. It may take me a while to start getting them up but hopefully it will become a regular thing (unlike the past attempts to blog which were major failures) Well here we go :D
